Meghan Markle Details Moving Moment She Had With Her and Prince Harry’s Daughter Lilibet

During their inaugural trip abroad after stepping down from royal responsibilities, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, engaged in a heartfelt conversation with her daughter, Princess Lilibet.

Motherhood has a darker side, as Meghan Markle is discovering.

Throughout the three-day visit to Nigeria on May 10, the Duchess of Sussex shared a heartwarming exchange she had with her 2-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, while engaging with students at the Lightway Academy alongside Prince Harry.

Meghan addressed a kindergarten class, stating, “Our daughter, Lili, is significantly smaller than all of you,” as reported by People. She is approaching her third birthday. A few weeks earlier, when she gazed at me, all she could perceive was the reflection in my eyes. She then remarked, “Mama, I see myself in you.”

Now that she was speaking so literally, the 42-year-old acknowledged. But my interpretation of those words was quite different. “Yes, I do see myself in you, and you see me in you,” I thought to myself.

She spoke to the pupils, “As I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well,” while seated next to Harry in the classroom.

The couple, who are the parents of five-year-old Prince Archie, participated in singing and dance lessons with the children and engaged in various games during their visit. Meghan remarked, “That’s Lili’s favorite class,” as reported by the publication. “It might be due to all the hopping around.”

While Meghan and Harry prefer to maintain their privacy regarding their personal life, they often provide glimpses into their family of four.

In February, the Duke of Sussex said on Good Morning America, “The kids are doing great.” The children are maturing like all children do—quite quickly.

The 39-year-old went on, “They both have an amazing sense of humor and make us laugh and keep us grounded every single day like most kids do.” “I’m just really appreciative to be a father.”
